Adelaide Oval Redevelopment
The Adelaide Oval Redevelopment project is the single largest plumbing contract won by Hindmarsh Plumbing with the estimated cost of the project at over 10 million dollars. Hindmarsh Plumbing was awarded the main package for the entire re-development in April 2012.
The Adelaide Oval Redevelopment, as a whole, involved the demolition of the existing Bradman Stand, Clem Hill and Chappell Stands and the construction of new stands in these locations. The new Southern and Eastern stands will be five levels high consisting of two basement levels and five levels of public, corporate and dining facilities to enable AFL football to be played at the venue.
The project consists of over 550 toilet suites throughout the oval, sewer retention for a game day event of 300,000 litres and a DAF plant to treat trade waste drainage.
There were staged handovers throughout the project with the overall project required to be completed and handed over for AFL to be played in 2014.
